The natural gas inventory surplus fell to 300 bcf.
Natural gas fell today after the EIA reported that operators injected 27 billion cubic feet into storage last week, close to expectations, but well below the year-ago build of 87 bcf and the five-year average build of 67 bcf.

Inventories now stand at 3429 bcf, 317 bcf above the year-ago level and 301 bcf above the five-year average level (calculated using a slightly different methodology than the EIA).
